Though residing in Hood River, photographer Robbie McClaran thought of the Columbia Gorge as a playground of types. McClaran experienced a curiosity for the location and desired to master more about the Columbia River.

To capture a feeling of the river’s record, he shot the pictures featured in “The Fantastic River of the West,” on film making use of antique, substantial format cameras.
